Developer Rockfish Games has announced that their roguelike shooter, Everspace has officially released into Xbox One's Preview program for $29.99. The game also launched simultaneously for Game Preview on Windows 10 and is the first ID@Xbox game to be a part of Xbox's Play Anywhere initiative. That means that if you buy the game on Xbox One, you will get the game for free on Windows 10 and have access to cross-save functionality.
Chris Charla, Director ID@Xbox at Microsoft said:
"When demoing EVERSPACE at the Xbox booth at E3, Gamescom, NerdHQ, Insomnia and the Microsoft Pre-Pax event, it got great feedback from anyone and it clearly didn't disappoint at its release on PC last week…We are super excited to bring it to Xbox One and Windows 10 through Game Preview, even more being the first ID@Xbox title to support Play Anywhere."
Everspace has received widely positive feedback from players despite its Early Access Preview state, accruing a 90% positive user rating on Steam. The Xbox One launch comes with an all-new boss fight, some voice-acted dialogs, a new planet type, new Outlaw stations on top of various interface and gameplay tweaks.
Everspace will launch in full towards the end of Q1 2017, and the price will increase to $39.99. If you are interested in checking out Everspace, the game is a pretty safe bet for an Early Access Preview game, so you might as well take advantage of the lower price.
