Everspace is an action-focused space shooter with roguelike elements that was successfully Kickstarted back in September of 2015. The game was later revealed to be heading to Xbox One via the ID@Xbox program that will bring the game to both the console as well as Windows 10. Developer RockFish announced today via press release, that Everspace will launch into Early Access on September 14th, 2016 on Steam, Xbox, and GOG.com.
Everspace is set to be the first game to hit the Xbox One Preview Program that will support the Xbox Play Anywhere initiative, coming with cross-save and buy once, and play it anywhere support.
Chris Charla, Director ID@Xbox at Microsoft said:
"We are very excited to kick-off the Xbox Preview Program for Windows 10 with the highly anticipated roguelike space shooter EVERSPACE. With its fast-paced gameplay and its stunning visuals it plays great on PC and Xbox One, making it a perfect game for Xbox Play Anywhere."
The game will be updated over the coming months in its Early Access state with a full release coming sometime in Q1 2017. The full release will come with a fully voice-acted non-linear story, a number of thoughtfully designed characters, and situation-based events, as well as the game's Hardcore Mode and full VR support for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive.
Everspace's Early Access version will retail for $29.99 / €27.99 / £22.99 and will increase to $39.99 / €36.99 / £29.99 when it releases in full.
