Ron Perlman lands highly coveted role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them

Ron Perlman isn't just sitting around waiting for Hellboy 3. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actor has joined the cast of Warner Bros.' Harry Potter sequel, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. He will reportedly portray the highly coveted role of a goblin. Disclaimer: I actually don't know if that's a big role as my knowledge of Harry Potter is limited to the films (from what I can remember from them) and what I learned from Universal Studios' Wizarding World of Harry Potter.

No other information of Perlman's casting was leaked.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them began shooting in England back in August. The film stars Eddie Redmayne as Newt Scamander, the wizarding world's preeminent magizoologist, who stops in New York following his travels to find and document magical creates. The story takes place 70 years before Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger arrive at Hogwarts School of WItchcraft where they actually use Scamander's book in their studies.

The film also stars Katherine Waterston (Inherent Vice) as Tina and Alison Sudol (Dig, Transparent) as Tina's sister, Queenie. Earlier this week, THR revealed that Gemma Chan (Humans), Carmen Ejogo (Selma), and Jon Voight also recently joined the cast.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is set to release on November 18, 2016.
