Rovio’s Angry Birds Star Wars 2 channels its inner GTA 5

If there's one game that can compete with the violence of Grand Theft Auto, it's Rovio Games' Angry Birds. I mean, launching those birds at pigs is pretty brutal. Throw in some lightsabers and blasters and suddenly FOX News will deem your game inappropriate.

Recognizing its place as a morally corrupt video game, Rovio is embracing its inner-Grand Theft Auto. The official Twitter for the soon-to-be-released game posted the above picture along with the following message: "If you play one blockbuster sequel this fall play GTAV, but if you play two, play #AngryBirdsStarWars2."

It's not as funny as Deep Silver's #GATV hashtag, but it's still charming. Angry Birds Star Wars 2 is set to release this Thursday. Following the same release as the movies, the sequel will actually feature Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace, Episode 2: Attack of the Clones and Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith (aka the bad Star Wars films).
