Piecing together what's going on with the Han Solo film is a bit of an adventure in itself, but if you're looking for good news in the light of the Directors' firings, Star Wars News Net just might have something for you. That said, it's worth mentioning that this is still a rumor based on what appears to be hearsay, though they may have an inside source who is actually speaking the truth. Either way, it's impossible to know for sure at the moment.
According to a pair of tweets from Star Wars News Net, a few "Disney licensees" saw a Sizzle Reel of the Han Solo film about a month ago and supposedly came away "impressed." Specifically, they were impressed by the performances of leading man, Alden Ehrenreich and Donald Glover, who plays Lando Calrissian.

This news would seem to contradict reports of the "zanier" take on Han Solo leading to the Directors' firings. There are rumblings that LucasFilm Boss Kathleen Kennedy was unimpressed by the Directors' slow pace at getting shots ready for editing and that the pair would often go off script.
Ron Howard has since taken the helm on the Han Solo film, and all we can really hope for is that the movie isn't a complete train wreck.
