A mere day after Seth Grahame-Smith departed The Flash movie over "creative differences", whispers are starting to spread that there are more directorial changes coming. With the largely negative reception of Batman v Superman, WB is allegedly clashing with Zack Snyder behind the scenes over the future of the DC movieverse. The next stone to fall is rumored to be Aquaman's director, James Wan.
Wan is supposedly "feeling a tremendous amount of trepidation" about the film and there are reports of "lots of fights between Snyder and the WB execs, and lots of pressure from Burbank on Snyder" according to Birth.Movies.Death.
Again, all of this is just rumor and speculation, but there is a considerable amount of substance to it. Warner Brothers simply can't afford another poor outing as they are already behind the 8-ball enough when compared to Marvel. The Justice League movie is currently in production and it too is a major focus of the clash between Snyder and WB.
Here's hoping we get a good super hero movie from the DC Universe…someday.
