[Rumor] Burnout Paradise Remastered has been posted by a Brazilian Retailer

Burnout is a series that is in dire need of a revival, so when a smidgen of hope appears on the horizon, naturally it's worth checking out. A Brazilian retailer has listed the game for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 at a price of R$ 149.90 (about $45 US) according to the Brazilian game site GamesPress.

Burnout Paradise originally released on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in 2008 and then a year later on PC. Naturally, this supposed re-release has yet to be confirmed by developer Criterion Games or publisher EA. In fact, it's even more likely that it's not true at all.

Criterion Games has a history of rejecting the idea of returning to the Burnout series in any form. They've stated that there's nothing "new" in the works for the series, nor do they wish "to go back in time."

Therefore, it's probably best not to get your hopes up. But you never know.
