Update: Xbox DVR clarified this could come between this Thursday and next Thursday, as it was not announced today.
Some sightings on the web are suggesting that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be hitting the Xbox One via backward compatibility soon… like, today soon or next week.
Prior to Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 being made available on Xbox One via backward compatibility, the game was added to Xbox DVR. After Black Ops 2 hit Xbox DVR, it went backward compatible.
Yesterday night, Xbox DVR added Modern Warfare 2 to its logs and announced it on Twitter (via Reddit) too. Now, there's no confirmation yet (hence rumor in the title) – but this could very well be a sign that Modern Warfare 2 will be making the jump to backward compatibility, just like Black Ops 2 did.
Cross your fingers and hope that the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 backward compatibility hype train is about to take off at full speed!
