It was recently revealed that Channing Tatum will be leading a crew of Ghostbusters in Sony's "male-driven action-centry comedy." This might be good news for those of you that weren't too keen on Director Paul Feig's all-female Ghostbusters movie that is in production.
According to a lengthy piece on Badass Digest, that male-driven film won't be an all-male film and Sony is "baffled" about where that concept came from. Sony's Ghostbusters film, will have male leads at its center — one of those leads has been confirmed as Channing Tatum, but according to reports one of the others might be Chris Pratt.
You might have a knee-jerk reaction (like me) and think, 'Woah! Slow down. There's a lot of Chris Pratt out there, too much even!" The report takes care to note, “This isn't a case of 'everybody wants Chris Pratt in their movie,' this is a case of these two guys being pals and wanting to make this movie together.”
The Badass Digest goes on to say that there's a "hope" that the female and male team (from the two separate movies) will eventually team up in a future film. There are apparently four films planned (it got the Lord of the Rings/Hobbit/Hunger Games treatment).
