Rumor: FCC filing suggests two new Xbox Ones

While the rumor mill churns out more theories on the new version of the PlayStation 4 console, the United State's Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has revealed that Microsoft might be working on a redesign for the Xbox One.

Two consoles, with model numbers 1682 and 1683, have been found by NeoGAF user ekim.(via DualShockers), both models suggest a revised and new version of the Xbox One.

According to the FCC's files, the two consoles share a new wireless chip, but there's something that both models of the Xbox One don't share – the user manual. The console that goes by model number 1682 features the same user manual that released with the original Xbox One.

The console under the guise of 1683 features a user manual that is protected by an NDA, suggesting that we have not seen an Xbox One like it before. The NDA for the user manual for model 1683 expires on June 25th, which hints at a surprise reveal or release during E3 2016.

Whether there is in fact a new version or if the new version will be a 'slim' or 'mini' Xbox One (which was rumored and denied by Microsoft previously) has yet to be verified by Microsoft. Until E3 comes around, we should take all rumors with a grain of salt.
