There have been a ton of tumors around Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, as well as a number of official announcements. As far as we know, Kurt Russell, Sylvester Stallone, Mantis and a number of new characters would be joining Star Lord's (Chris Pratt) core group made up of Drax (Dave Bautista), Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Rocket (Bradley Cooper), and Groot (Vin Diesel).
The latest rumor on Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 comes from JoBlo and has Elizabeth Debicki (The Man From U.N.C.L.E.) playing the villain known as Ayesha, who is also known as Her, Paragon, and Kismet. Supporting that rumor, ComicBookMovie reported that Debicki would play Ayesha in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 back in March.
Debicki was revealed to be in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2. at the same time Pom Klementieff, Chris Sullivan and Kurt Russell were announced for the film. However, Debicki's role was never confirmed for the film, it was only revealed that she would be in it.
Ayesha/Her/Paragon/Kismet has seen a number of alternate versions throughout her lifetime, but her story remains the same (for the most part). Ayesha was created by a goup of scientists called the "Enclave," whose goal was to create the perfect genetic being in order to take over and repopulate the world.
Before Ayesha (Her), there was Him.
