Rumor: Here’s Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phanton Pain’s Xbox One resolution

According to Julien Merceron, the technology director at Konami who helped develop the Fox Engine that both Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016 use, upgrades with the Software Development Kits mean the games will be released on the highest resolution and framerate possible for the Xbox One.

The games will run be 1080p at 60FPS, if you can believe Julien Merceron… Who can probably be trusted, but the source reporting his reveal might not be as trustworthy.

With the new Software Development Kit developers have been able to "notably increase" the low definition textures to high definition. Both Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes and PES 2015 ran out 2015, so the increase in resolution is pretty great for Konami. In other The Phantom Pain news, the E3 trailer for the game was the last trailer that game creator Hideo Kojima produced.
