It seems everyone's favorite auteur game director, Hideo Kojima, has cast Mads Mikkelsen for a role in Death Stranding. The Danish actor is known around the world for his roles as the primary antagonist Le Chiffre in Casino Royale, and Dr. Hannibal Lecter in the series Hannibal, and will even make appearances in Doctor Strange and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. Oh, and Mikkelsen also happens to be Kojima's favorite actor:
My favorite actor Mads Mikkelsen's interview is in "Cut" this month. No many actors who is so cool and sexy in blood.pic.twitter.com/TYTTrnmTRB

There's no hard evidence behind this rumor, but there's a good bit of circumstantial evidence to support it. Kojima posted a behind-the-scenes photo that featured a man in a red jacket, but said man could only be seen from behind:

However, a fan of Mikkelsen shared a photo he had taken with the actor on the same day, wearing a similar jacket, and claiming Mikkelsen had told him that he was in London to work on a video game: "A Japanese game."
With MGSV, Kojima had taken to using famous actors in his games, and we know Mikkelsen is his current favorite: If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and Kojima wants it to be a duck, it's probably a duck. First Norman Reedus, now Mads Mikkelsen, just how much star power will Kojima try to pull in?
