Towards the end of April Square Enix released a report that shifted Kingdom Hearts 3 and Final Fantasy 7 Remake to the '2018 and Beyond' release window, but a new rumor is suggesting that we may see the game as soon as next year.
At the beginning of 2017, Kingdom Hearts 3 game director Tetsuya Nomura detailed that Kingdom Hearts 3 still had "untouched worlds," which revealed that the devs were still knee-deep in development. New rumors are making their rounds online, suggesting that we will be seeing Kingdom Hearts 3 at E3 2017 and that it will release in 2018.
According to the rumors, a Kingdom Hearts 3 trailer was meant to be shown in April, however, it was pushed back to E3 2017. The push back and general silence is coming from the team having "development issues."
Despite these issues, the game will allegedly release in 2018 – but may see cuts to avoid further delays. If the game is indeed getting cuts, they will likely be the 'untouched worlds' that Nomura detailed earlier this year.
