DC Comics fans were met with director Zack Snyder's initial vision of what building up the Justice League would be with Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The movie came with multiple plotlines and characters all wrapped up into one movie. One of these plotlines and characters centered around Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor Jr.
After director Zack Snyder removed himself from the follow-up to Batman v Superman, Justice League, director Joss Whedon stepped in to take his place and ended up writing at least 33% of Justice League's story.
It looks like Whedon cut some loose ends in his version of the film, specifically when it comes to Eisenberg's role in Justice League. According to Batman News, the latest cut of Justice League has removed Jesse Eisenberg's Lex Luthor. This cut of the film could very well be a test cut and other versions of the film might include him, but at the moment, there's a cut of Justice League out there that has dropped him.
