Did a Valve studio tour just leak the existence of Left 4 Dead 3 and Valve’s Source Engine 2?
Several members from the Dota 2 Reddit community were allegedly invited to Valve's Bellevue-based headquarters because of the Dota 2 championships, The International, that are taking place this week. The group reportedly received a special, behind-the-scenes tour that included a sneak peak at the “TI3 Merchandise.” What Valve didn’t expect was for one of the images snapped to possibly leak the existence of two of their most anticipated projects.
The screenshots below reveal purported changes to Left 4 Dead 3’s “test_networking unit test,” which is really just some developer techno-lingo.
Now, Valve being Valve, the items captured from the Dota 2 community could easily have been placed simply to troll the Internet that would inevitable pick the images apart once they went viral. It does seem interesting that the photo collection includes the phrase: “Valve was gracious enough to let us take some photos to share.”
