There have been plenty of rumors on who will be taking the role of Captain Marvel in the upcoming film. The movie has yet to be situated with a director or a lead actress, but rumors in the past have suggested that Marvel was eyeing Angelina Jolie to direct and Charlize Theron (Furiosa in Mad Max: Fury Road) to take the superhero role.
New rumors have sprung up, leaving Theron in the dust. It looks like Marvel might be eyeing the British Agent in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation — Rebecca Ferguson.
Nothing has been made official, but Ferguson did remove herself from potentially joining in on a Gambit film. Instead of Gambit, Ferguson chose to join Emily Blunt in The Girl on The Train. Marvel has a history pulling in some big names and Mission Impossible could have bumped Ferguson into their view. This is all heresay and hopefully it leads up to something.
Ferguson isn't so bad, might be a better choice that Theron… But I can't see her in the role.
