A new Nintendo Switch rumor is suggesting that Metroid, Assassin’s Creed, and L.A. Noire will be announced for the console in the coming months. The source detailed when we could expect these announcements, as well as a number of other announcements.
Take it with a grain of salt.
YouTuber studio Q has revealed what an insider close to Nintendo and the developers who will be working closely with the Switch have told them. This source detailed a number of items, specifically things that would be absolutely wild – like Metroid making a return.
To start with, the source revealed that Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will be getting a release date next week for the Nintendo Switch.
It was further detailed that two weeks before switch releases (roughly next week), Nintendo will be revealing “something” that they haven’t revealed yet. The source went on to detail that it may be the Nintendo Switch Virtual Console, as it has yet to be revealed. However, the source was simply speculating that this may be the announcement.
Now the meat and potatoes of what source revealed. Apparently, Metroid and Assassin’s Creed will be revealed at or around E3 2017 for the Switch, as well as LA Noire.
Metroid makes sense!
Fans have been clamoring for a new Metroid game, especially since the 3DS received Metroid Prime: Federation Force last year – a game that drew so much ire from the community that it had a petition against it with over 20,000 signatures.
Nintendo could promise a boost in sales for the Switch if they announced a Metroid game for the Switch.
Assassin’s Creed for the Switch has been rumored before…
Ubisoft’s CEO has been praising the Nintendo Switch plenty, saying that the Switch (NX at the time) would be bringing “casual players back” to the industry and that “Nintendo will be back in the race” with the Switch.
With so much praise a rumor quickly surfaced that the next Assassin’s Creed game would be hitting the Switch, the unannounced and unconfirmed title even saw listings in online retailer’s stores for the Switch.
As for L.A. Noire, the rumor mill recently began churning on that one…
In mid-January, a rumor began making rounds that a remastered version of L.A. Noire would be hitting the Switch. The rumor came from a source that has leaked GTA DLC accurately months before being announced.
The Nintendo Switch is set to release on March 3rd
