Rumor: New Fable in development, Perfect Dark, Forza Horizon 4 in Japan

Since the release of the Xbox One, Microsoft fans have been asking for the game publisher and console maker to invest in first-party games for their console. Microsoft, in turn, has vowed to put more effort into their first-party lineup.

A new rumor has appeared, suggesting that Microsoft is keeping good on their word, however, there’s no estimate as to when or if these items will appear.

The rumor was posted as a ‘wish list’ on ResetEra of things that the user found in Microsoft’s database tables through the Xbox Live API SDK. They did not want to post the rumors as being an insider or anything like that, just that they saw those items in the Xbox Live API SDK.

It’s unclear which of the projects are prototypes or which are in development. With that being noted, here are the items that the user noted to be seen in the Xbox Live API SDK:

  • A new Fable by Playground Games or Studio Gobo.
  • Perfect Dark in 3rd Person
  • Forza Horizon 4 set in Japan
  • Microsoft’s “biggest franchise” (Halo?) having “a really high player-count” (think Battle Royale, Battlefield, or Destiny).
  • Possible return of MechAssault.

The user who posted these items is the same individual who leaked E3 2016 items through the Xbox LIVE API.
