A source that is close to Nintendo is claiming that there will be a new Pokemon game announced during the E3 2015 Nintendo Direct. Now, the validity in this statement has yet to be confirmed, but the claim is that a number of individuals have released a summary of Nintendo's plans online.
This summary lists a number of game announcements, most notably a Wii U or 3DS Pokemon game that will essentially be one of the first core Pokemon games on a console.
According to "Nintendo's plans" the Pokemon announcement will be made in the last portion of the Nintendo Direct. The game will be set in the first region we explored in Pokemon, Kanto, and will feature the trainer from Pokemon Red and Blue "traversing through cities and forests – in the third person." Apparently, the Pokemon battles will happen in real time and is said to release in 2016.
Now, it is a hard thing to say that this is real and coming to the Wii U. Consoles are not selling in Japan and Nintendo is quite possibly developing a new console, codenamed NX.
We can hope for a Pokemon Wii U game though, the dream is real.
