Rumor: Next Call of Duty to feature ‘combat in spaceships’

It appears as though leakers can't get enough of ripping a hole in Infinity Ward's ship. Following yesterday's rumors, new rumors have appeared from the same source. Both Shinobi and Eurogamer revealed that the next Call of Duty will be set in the 'future,' will be in space and is a 'full on sci-fi' game.

Shinobi has gone on to detail the game, backing up previous statements that the game will not be like Ghosts:

This is nothing like Ghosts. We're talking combat in spaceships (think No Man's Sky), and not just around Earth.

And a central hub area that's a form of living space station. Think the Battlestar Galactica loading bay. Being a mostly campaign guy, I'm pretty excited for this one.

So, it looks like we might be leaving Earth's orbit and going on an adventure further out in our solar system.
