Rumors have surfaced linking Nintendo with both Disney and Amazon. According to a source that has a good track with rumors, Nintendo is considering partnering up with Disney for films, video games and toys, and with Amazon to bring their mobile games to the Amazon App Store.
The rumors are housed on Nintendo fan-sites, but that doesn't necessarily mean that they should be so easily discredited. The rumor source has correctly leaked the third wave of amiibo and the cross-over between Nintendo's amiibo and Activision's Skylanders.
In the beginning of May, Nintendo revealed their intention to release five smartphone games by March 2017. According to sources, Amazon approached Nintendo at the time of announcement saying they would like to see Nintendo games on their App Store. Apparently, this proposition was so well-accepted by Nintendo that they inquired if it would be possible to see the Amazon App Store on Nintendo hardware.
If this Amazon rumor proves to be true, we would be seeing Nintendo games on the Amazon App Store on day one with an Android emulator in mind, as the Nintendo hardware would not be running Android games natively.
As for Disney…
The rumors state that Nintendo and Disney have negotiated a deal for films, video games and interactive toys/merchandise. These rumors are more general, but include Mario appearing in Disney films. Nintendo and Disney are working on an agreement for Disney Infinity characters, but have yet to reach any formal deal.
