Rumor: No Man’s Sky files suggest Xbox One port

Since No Man's Sky officially released on the PC last Friday, data miners have had plenty of time to start fiddling around with the game's files – especially since the game experienced issues at launch. One of the files detailed in No Man's Sky revealed the game uses 'Havoc' for its physics engine… and the license for the engine also entitles them to develop for the Xbox One.

The Xbox One being mentioned in the license doesn't necessarily mean that the game will be heading to Microsoft's platform, but it does give hope. Looking further into the files, there's no Xbox One prototype file, however, there is a file for the Xbox 360 (along with the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 prototype files).

To add even more hope, the DailyStar claims that when they spoke to the game's creator Sean Murray, he said he wasn't sure if he was "actually allowed to say" and that he needed to be "very specific with my words." Adding even more credence to the rumor, the game's box doesn't say PS4 exclusive on it.

In the past, Murray's Joe Danger eventually found its way to the Xbox One after a limited release.

Another detail that the data miner found was that the E3 2015 gameplay had been scripted to a certain extent.

You can find the rest of the data mining details on NeoGaf.
