New details on the next main entry in the Pokemon series have allegedly surfaced. The Nintendo Switch game has seen light details since the game was announced during Nintendo’s E3 2017 Spotlight presentation.
According to PokéJungle, the same source that correctly revealed details on Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon, the Nintendo Switch Pokémon game will feature an all-new battle system.
The “new” and “simplified” battle system has been compared to the Digimon World games, which feature real-time battle styles where moves are selected in a menu. The battle system has also been compared to Pokkén Tournament’s system, which features attacks, blocks, and grabs.
In addition to a new battle system, it has been detailed that there will be no new Mega Evolutions and that Z-Moves will return. This time, Z-Moves have been suggested to be making use of Joy Con motion controls.
The game’s region is said to be inspired by Spain or Italy and the plot has been rumored to revolve around the conflict between tradition and innovation. Rumors the game being inspired by Spain have been making their rounds since Ash was spotted in a jacket of Spanish style in the latest Pokemon movie.
The yet-to-be-named Pokemon expected to release on the Nintendo Switch in late 2018 or early 2019.
