The latest Nintendo Switch rumor is saying that the newly released 3DS game, Pokemon Sun and Moon will be headed to Nintendo's upcoming console! Earlier this month Pokemon producer Junichi Masuda hinted that a Pokemon game might be headed to the Nintendo Switch.
Sources close to Eurogamer have detailed that Pokemon Sun and Moon are currently being developed for the Nintendo Switch under the codename of Pokemon Stars. It's being said that the game will release for the Switch sometime in 2017.
If this is true, this means we will be seeing the first real Pokemon game on a home console instead of a handheld. It won't be a spinoff, but a true iteration of the traditionally handheld RPG.
Pokemon from Sun and Moon will be tradeable with the upcoming 'Stars' game via the Pokemon Bank app and there may be even more Pokemon featured in the Switch version. Stars will feature the same map, routes and cities as the Sun and Moon versions, but at a higher resolution.
