Rumor: Pokemon X/Y free with purchase of 3DS XL or 2DS and a game

A new Toys'R'Us ad indicates a promotion in which you can snag Pokémon X and Pokémon Y for free by purchasing a new 3DS XL or 2DS along with one of six select games. The six games eligible are Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Yoshi's New Island, LEGO City: Undercover: The Chase Begins, Super Mario 3D Land, Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D and Mario Kart 7.

According to the supposed scan of the ad, you'll need to register the 3DS (or 2DS) on Club Nintendo in March to receive the free download code for Pokémon X or Pokémon Y.

At this point,t here's no confirmation of the promotion from Nintendo or Toys'R'Us, but we've reached out for more information. While the info comes via a Toys'R'Us ad, it's believed that the promotion isn't directly tied with the retailer specifically. So maybe this sort of deal can be had elsewhere as well.
