Rumor: Rachel McAdams joining cast in Marvel’s Doctor Strange

That wouldn't be so bad.

Sources are suggesting that Rachel McAdams was offered the role of the female lead in Marvel's Doctor Strange film. If this is true, McAdams could quite possibly be joining Benedict Cumberbatch who will be acting as the Sorcerer Supreme – Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, Chiwetel Ejiofor who has been cast as Baron Mordo and Tilda Swinton who will portray the Ancient One in filming.

McAdams is currently busy with as on of the main protagonists in True Detective, Bezzeridies and is starring in the upcoming Southpaw film alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. Her schedule should be clear towards the end of the year, right?

If McAdams does take the role there's one of two roles that she could be playing: Clea or Morgana Blessing. Both choices leave McAdams as a potential love interest for Cumberbatch/Doctor Strange. There has been no official statement on the rumor, but we can always hope for a surprise announcement during Comic-Con.

No superhero film is complete without a love story, am I right (yes, that was sarcasm)?

Doctor Strange will hit theaters November 4, 2016.
