E3 is just under two weeks away and rumors are flying around left and right. Almost every hour a new rumor appears amd perhaps the biggest rumor is that a new Red Dead game or remaster of Red Dead Redemption will be revealed at E3.
We have been reporting on rumors for months now and the moment of truth is almost finally upon us.
Fans have been eagerly awaiting a sequel to the critically acclaimed western title from Grand Theft Auto developer, Rockstar Games. We may have just a bit more insight on what exactly might get revealed at E3. Keep in mind none of this official and is a bit sketchy, so take this all with a grain of salt.
Thanks to some people who have lots of free time, we may have our first look at the new Red Dead project from Rockstar. Some users on Reddit have discovered a former Rockstar enviromental artist's portfolio on the vast space we call the internet and shared an interesting screenshot that appears to be something in the Red Dead universe. The image flaunts new folliage, improved graphics, a Red Dead logo and that's about it.
The image is dated all the way back to summer of 2015, and who knows if that's even when the actual screenshot was taken.
If this image turns out to be real, Rockstar will surely go more in-depth about what features and improvements have been made to the 2010 western title.
We aren't done quite yet though, another image found in the artist's portfolio shows a piece of "concept" art. The reason I loosely use the word concept is due to the fact that it appears to be a previously released screenshot for the original release of Red Dead Redemption with a filter thrown over it (credit to Neogaf user julrik for discovering this). The title used for the image is also "RDR 2" meaning that the poster had the intent of fooling people into thinking this is a piece of concept art for a sequel to Red Dead Redemption.
Do you think any of the images are real or Rockstar will finally unveil the long rumored Red Dead 3? Sound off in the comments below. We will be covering E3 all week long starting on June 12th, so be sure to check back to see if they announce the much anticipated title.
In addition to this, a leaked image from another alleged Rockstar artist showed GTA 4's Liberty City in the GTA 5 engine. It's odd timing for two artists to supposedly leak this information through their portfolios.
