Rumor: Rise of the Tomb Raider hitting PS4 in late 2016

According to rumors, Rise of the Tomb Raider will be hitting the PlayStation 4 in late 2016. The release date for the currently Microsoft exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One is set for November 10, 2015 – this puts the PS4 version's release about a year after the Xbox release.

In the past, Rise of the Tomb Raider was suggested to be a timed-exclusive by Phil Spencer himself.

The rumor is coming from a document obtained by The Know, who claims that the source of the document can be trusted. The document suggests that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be published by Square Enix for the PS4 in Q4 2016, sometime around November 2016.

In the document, it is noted that Square Enix expects a backlash for the PS4 announcement. This forward thinking from Square Enix has them covering all of their bases by looking at ways to curb "negative sentiment." How are they going to do this? By giving you a discount on the game, pricing it at $40 on the PS4.

Crystal Dynamics is not owned by Microsoft, it's owned by Square Enix and timed exclusives tend to jump to other consoles after about a year — making this rumor entirely plausible.
