Earlier this year, the Sony owned studio known for Uncharted: Golden Abyss revealed that they were looking to hire developers to help them "push the PS4 somewhere it’s never been before." It looks as though some of the fine details of the secret project at Bend's studio have been leaked.
According to insiders, Bend is working on an open-world horror game that will push the boundaries of the PS4's potential. If insiders are to be trusted, the project has been in full production since 2015 and will be created using the Unreal Engine 4.
The game is said to draw less on the horror elements found in Evil Within and more from the survival elements of The Last of Us. If that's the case, Bend could be working on a traditional survival-horror game. With Paris Games Week in October and PlayStation Experience in December there's a chance that we may hear about this game before the years end. Rumors have pointed towards a 2017 reveal, but historically Bend has revealed their games through Paris Games Week and PlayStation Experience… so there's a chance of us seeing it at the end of the year.
