Last month, it was rumored that Batman would be making an appearance in Suicide Squad. It is beginning to look as though this rumor will prove more than true, as a new rumor claims that Suicide Squad's Joker will make an appearance in the upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice film..
The rumor comes not long after Ben Affleck appeared in Toronto (along with a rumored spotting of the Batmobile) where David Ayer and his team are filming Suicide Squad. The plot thickens.
The original rumor focused on Batman being in Suicide Squad through a scene where the Joker is questioned on Batman's whereabouts while watching the Bat in action on a tape. The new rumor suggests that Jared Leto's Joker appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice through a scene where the Joker beats and kills Batman's sidekick Jason Todd (Robin).
Apparently, we will be seeing Robin's costume in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and it will trigger a flash back that explains why the Joker is behind bars in Suicide Squad (because he killed Robin).
None of this has been confirmed by Warner Bros. and will likely never be confirmed until the films release and we see it for ourselves.
Suicide Squad is set to release August 5, 2016 and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice releases in March 25th, 2016.
