Guillermo del Toro might have left the Justice League Dark movie, but that doesn't mean Warner Bros. would cancel their plans for the film – superhero movies are so hot right now. When Guillermo was acting as director for the film, his Justice League Dark team had been composed of Constantine, Swamp Thing, Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan The Demon.
No cast has officially been set for the film, but rumors have suggested that both Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor have been approached for the role. According to sources close to Latino Review, Farrell is the frontrunner for the part, followed by McGregor.
The studio appears to searching for "A-List" talent, which is why Matt Ryan – the man that formerly played John Constantine on the cancelled TV show wasn't listed as talent. As for the rest of the cast, it is being rumored Warner Bros is interested in Ron Perlman to take the role of Swamp Thing – he had been suggested by Guillermo Del Toro prior to leaving the project.
No director has attached themselves to the film as of yet.
