Rumor: 40 Jobs Cut at Rock Star San Diego

It’s rumored that Rockstar has laid off about 40 employees from their San Diego Studio, the developer of Red Dead Redemption.

This report comes from Kotaku, who has heard from “multiple sources” saying that a major chunk of the studio was released earlier today. Though the website has reached out to Rockstar Games, they haven’t heard a response regarding the layoffs.

Some may remember the famous Rockstar wives letter that criticized the studio’s working conditions.

Red Dead Redemption was released on May 18, 2010 and it’s western-themed, open-world gameplay has been widely-praised.

More as the story develops.
