With the turn of the new year, it's time for all of the yearly rumors to break through the frost and bloom once again. Since the lead writer for the Half-Life series left Valve, making Half-Life 3 rumors are off the table for a while, fans have begun looking at another Valve game that has yet to see its third installment – Left 4 Dead.
The last installment in the Left 4 Dead series came to us in 2009 with Left 4 Dead 2 and since then there has been a general air of silence around the game. In january a last year, there was a supposed leak for Left 4 Dead 3, claiming the game's existence with pictures of Left 4 Dead 2's maps being remade in a new engine.
According to a new report, Valve is not only working on Left 4 Dead 3, but is planning to release it next year. In addition to that, rumors claim that the game will feature a female lead named Katherine. The other three characters have been named, according to rumors, but their names were not revealed.
Whether these reports are true or not have yet to be confirmed. In light of that, let's take this news with a huge serving of salt.
