RuneScape membership prices are going up

On March 1st, RuneScape players will see the price of membership increase. The good news is, there's a way around forking over more money for the game. Don't let your account lapse.

Currently, prices for a membership on RuneScape run at $7.94 per month, $21.95 for three months, $39.95 for six months and $74.95 for a year. These prices will be jumping up to $9.49 per month, $25.99 for three months, $47.99 for six months and $89.99 for a year. You can see the steady increase in price. It starts at an additional $2.00 and moves up from there.

In order to maintain your current membership fee – no matter the price you pay – you cannot let your account lapse for over 14 days. If you are a member when the price rises on March 1, 2015, you will not see the price of your membership go up unless you go unsubscribed for 14 days or more (the obvious solution to this is to stay subscribed forever). New RuneScape players will be locked into the new prices once March 1st rolls around.

Why is the price going up? During RuneFest 2014, Mod mark revealed that there is tons of content and updates coming to RuneScape in 2015.
