RuneScape Old School hits 1 million players and unlocks God Wars dungeon

RuneScape Old School, a 2007 version of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game RuneScape that U.K.-based developer Jagex brought back in February, has reached over 1 million players.

Jagex let its community vote on an update to the game, and a whopping 89 percent chose the God Wars dungeon. The area features four new bosses — K’ril Tsutsaroth, Commander Zilyana, General Graardor, and Kree’arra — and holds the legendary Godsword, the most powerful weapon in Old School.

The dungeon also introduces high-level equipment such as the Staff of the Dead and the Armadyl Crossbow.
