Back in 1982 Ridley Scott gave Blade Runner to the world, starring Harrison Ford. In the recent months we have learned that Sicario director Denis Villeneuve has been tasked with generating a sequel for the film, which he has openly acknowledged as a huge undertaking.
A recent interview revealed that Villenueve was cautious when accepting to take on the movie, "I hesitated massively. It took me a lot of time to say yes. Not because I didn’t believe in it, because I was like ‘Who am I to dare to touch that?’ And at the same there’s a part of me that said, ‘I’m a hardcore fan, I don’t want to f— that up.’”
But Villanueve has moved on with the film and will be bringing along Ryan Gosling too. Rumors have been circulating saying that Gosling would be playing alongside Harrison Ford in the upcoming sequel, those rumors are apparently true.
When asked whether or not the rumors were true about his participation in the next Blade Runner movie, Gosling gave the affirmative – he really is going to be in Blade Runner 2. Unfortunately, we didn't hear more about the film, Gosling was a bit tight lipped saying "there’s a chip in me and if I say anything more I’ll explode if I say anything else.”
