Ryan North of Dinosaur Comics writes Galaga on ShiftyLook

Namco Bandai's ShiftyLook has signed Ryan North (Dinosaur Comics) to write a new Galaga webcomic, which launched today on the site.

Christopher Hastings (The Adventures of Dr. McNinja) and Anthony Clark (Beartato) are on board as illustrator and colorist, respectively. The comic updates twice a week on Mondays and Fridays.

North also writes the Adventure Time comic book from Boom! Studios.

Galaga released in 1979 and remains one of the most popular arcade games to date. Players control a space ship as alien fighters shaped like "bugs" fill the upper screen and take turns attacking. It's rereleased on home consoles and mobile devices and has spawned sequels and remakes, such as Galaga Legions.
