Deadpool saw great ratings last year and became one of the best superhero films of the year. So much so that Ryan Reynolds earned himself a nomination for a Golden Globe Award for his portrayal of the character.
Well, last night was judgment day and unfortunately Reynolds did not come home with the award. Instead, he lost to Ryan Gosling for his portrayal in La-la-land. The moment was of course not lost on Reynolds, who instead opted to share a moment of affection with fellow superhero Andrew Garfield. Once Gosling was announced as the winner, you see both Reynolds and Garfield grab each other's heads and engage in a tender kiss.
It was a pretty funny moment and one that goes hand in hand with not only the Deadpool character but Reynold's personality in general. Deadpool made a ton of money last year and was also the most pirated according to Torrentfreak. Deadpool 2 will star Reynolds again with both Cable and Domino, who was most recently revealed to be starring in the film. No word on what actress will play the role, but that is expected to be heard shortly.
After the original director departed the film, John Wick director David Leitch has signed on for the role. Deadpool 2 is set to release on January 12th,2018
