Ryan Reynolds wants a Wolverine/Deadpool film with Hugh Jackman

Deadpool released earlier this year after years in development hell. It's loved by many thanks to its great performances and hilarious comedy among other things. The sequel promises to introduce characters like Cable to the big screen but the one character people are dying to see Deadpool team up with is Wolverine.

Wolverine and Deadpool have a long history in the comics and have been on screen once before, although not in the way many wanted. In X-Men Origins: Wolverine, we saw a very… different Deadpool. There were hints of that Deadpool/Wolverine relationship people wanted to see but it didn't get close to what it could've been. Ryan Reynolds seeks to bring the two characters together in proper fashion.

“I want Deadpool and Wolverine in a movie together,” Reynolds tells EW. “What we’re gonna have to do is convince Hugh. If anything, I’m going to need to do what I can to get my internet friends back on board to help rally another cause down the line. Hugh Jackman is one of the best human beings. Part of the reason I want to do a Deadpool/Wolverine movie is not just because I think the two would light the screen on fire but I genuinely love the guy.”

Hugh Jackman said he's done playing the role after Logan releases in March, but maybe… just maybe the internet and Reynolds can bring the two invincible heroes together! Like Ryan Reynolds who fought hard to make Deadpool R-rated, Hugh Jackman finally got the R-rated Wolverine film people have waited nearly 20 years for.

Logan releases March 3rd, 2017 with Deadpool 2 coming sometime in 2018.
