Microsoft has outlined the latest DLC for Crytek's Ryse: Son of Rome. Titled Mars' Chosen Pack, the upcoming DLC will add new maps, a new character skin, and a new cooperative Survival Mode.
As the name suggests, Survival Mode is all about, well, surviving. You'll battle alongside fellow gladiator buddies against endless waves of barbarians. Here's the catch: your health is continuously being drained and the only way to regain health is with quick kills and brutal executions. You earn more gold and experience with each successful wave clear, but the longer you survive the faster your health depletes
Mars' Chosen Pack also contains five maps. Two of the maps — Firestorm and Dockyard — are specifically created for Survival Mode, while Courtyard has been optimized for the new mode. Arena Mode is also getting two maps — Pyramid and Obelisk, which take you to the shores of ancient Egypt. Lastly, the DLC includes a new character skin: the Legionary.
Mars' Chosen Pack will be available for $8.99 on February 28. Those of you who own the Season Pass will be able to download it for free.
