Sad news: gold nunchuk sold out on Club Nintendo

Last week, Nintendo revealed the latest prize for Club Nintendo members. For 900 Coins, you were being granted the opportunity to snag a sexy gold nunchuk. This was a great prize for Wii owners in general, but for those of us who had that gold Wii Remote that came packaged with The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword, it was incredible.

Unfortunately, if you have yet to redeem those Coins for a gold nunchuk, you can kiss those dreams goodbye, because it's gone. The gold nunchuk has sold out so it's no longer available. It's a sad day.

But there's still hope. Nintendo stated that it hopes to bring back the gold nunchuk somewhere down the road. Let's hope it's before the launch of the Wii U, because by then we're all going to want to save up our Coins for a gold GamePad.
