Saints Row 4 is going to be ridiculous. Ridiculously good? That’s yet to be seen, but there’s no doubting that the action is going to be over-the-top and hilarious. Even today, developer Deep Silver noted how much fun it is coming up with ideas for the upcoming game stating, “Ultimately SR4 doesn't try to take itself too seriously and we even have a lot of fun at our own expense.”
With that in mind, Deep Silver also unveiled the first pre-order bonus for Saints Row 4. Dubbed the “Commander in Chief Edition,” players who pre-order from selected retailers will be upgraded to this edition that features the Screaming Eagle weapon that “fires rockets out of its talons and can invoke the ‘Sonic Scream’ attack, leaving your enemies dazed, confused and likely scarred for life.”
The Commander in Chief Edition also grants players to throw on the “Uncle Sam” suit that’s exactly what you’re expecting it to be, as well as the ‘Merica weapon, which is described as “full of incredibly astonishing firepower: flamethrowers, ultra-powered dub step guns and rocket launchers.”
As you can see, there’s no gimmicks, no statues and, thankfully, no headless torsos, which makes the fact that this edition is on sale for the standard $59.99 for consoles, $49.99 for PC much sweeter.
