Saints Row 4 has sold over one million copies

Deep Silver and Volition announced today that Saints Row 4 "has had a breakthrough commercial achievement," selling more than one million units in its first week of availability. It has seen notable success in Europe where it has led the charts "in almost all major countries," including the UK, Germany, and Benelux.

Deep Silver also mentioned that the PC version in particular has seen tremendous success. It has more than tripled the the first week's PC sale numbers over Saints Row: The Third.

“We are incredibly happy of the reception for Saints Row 4 as a critical and now a commercial success,” said Klemens Kundratitz, CEO of parent company Koch Media. Koch Media acquired the intellectual property rights for Metro and Saints Row back in January as a result of THQ's bankruptcy.

“The development team at Volition is second-to-none as a driving creative force in the entertainment industry and we are very proud to have them as part of the Deep Silver family,” he said.

Saints Row 4 has been receiving rave reviews across the web, scoring an 8.5/10 here on GameZone.
