Super Smash Bros. Game Director Masahiro Sakurai is up to his usual tricks, teasing today a brand new mode presumably exclusive to the Wii U version of the game. Over on Miiverse, Sakurai posted a photo along with a question: "Now, what mode is this…?!"
Sadly, the picture doesn't tell us two much as it shows two separate game modes found under the "Games & More" section of the Wii U game. On the left side is "Master" and on the right side is "Crazy," with the second half of each side blurred out. There's also a picture of the iconic Master Hand which acts as the creator of the Super Smash Bros. universe and the final boss of the series.
There's speculation that the new mode could be something related to the unused announcer voice clips found on the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. In the handheld version, there are audio files that mention "Special Orders," "Master Orders," and "Crazy Orders," along with things like "Ticket Selection" and "Official Tourney." Whether or not these are indicative of what Sakurai is teasing still remains to be seen.
What do you think this new mode could be?
