Nintendo has announced that Metroid: Other M, their latest game in the beloved Metroid franchise, is now available on Nintendo Wii. Developed by the acclaimed Team NINJA (the dev behind the Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden franchises), Metroid: Other M combines a 2D side-scrolling look with a fully rendered 3D view, allowing you to switch between third-person and first-person perspectives simply by pointing the Wii remote at the screen. Metroid: Other M was developed with the help of Yoshio Sakamoto, the director of the SNES classic Super Metroid.
“Immersive action and storytelling go hand-in-hand in Metroid: Other M,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. “The combination of Mr. Sakamoto’s Metroid expertise and Team NINJA’s high-octane approach has yielded truly amazing results. Whether you’re new to the series or a die-hard fan, this new chapter is an absolute must-play.”
