Sarah Grey has been cast as the Justice Society of America's Stargirl in 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow'.
The CW network is about to showcase a lot of new and exciting changes in their DC superhero universe. First, Supergirl will finally make her debut on the network for the premiere of her second season, and thanks to the upcoming 'Flashpoint' episode of 'The Flash', the entire world will undergo a massive paradigm shift including the events in 'Arrow' and 'Legends of Tomorrow'.
The finale of 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' set up a pretty major storyarch involving one of the veteran superhero teams from the original comics, the Justice Society of America. So far, the team is set to feature Hourman, played by Patrick J. Adams, Commander Steel, played by Matthew MacCaull, and now the role of Stargirl has officially been filled by Sarah Grey.
If you're unfamiliar with the character, Stargirl aka Courtney Whitmore uses the Cosmic Converter Belt and the Cosmic Staff (passed down to her from Starman) to grant her enhanced strength, agility, and stamina. So far, the only remaining members of the JSA that still need to be cast are Obsidian and Dr. Mid-Nite, but chances are we'll hear about those in the near future.
There's still no word on how the 'Flashpoint' will affect the new inclusion of the JSA, but we'll all know for sure when the new lineup premieres on the CW network this October.
