SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance brings twin-stick shooting to XBLIG

Developer Brain Shape Games has launched a new twin-stick shooter through Xbox Live Indie Games. Titled SCHAR: Blue Shield Aliiance, the game offers retro-style shooter gameplay that's more mission-based than what the genre usually features.

Blue Shield Alliance delivers 36 main missions as well as nine survival missions. Additionally, players will be to choose from four different ship classes, and there are various upgrades that can be used to enhance vehicles. The game also supports local co-op for up to four players.

You can download Blue Shield Alliance for 240 Microsoft Points ($3). Check out the game's official trailer (above) for a closer look at the action.
