The studio behind the Resident Evil movies has grabbed the feature film rights to Capcom’s Devil May Cry. Screen Gems came out on the better end of their time with Resident Evil, bringing in over $580 million worldwide, and it looks as though they’re going for another series with mass appeal. Kyle Ward is pegged to write the script, and according to IMDB he’s also working on a Kane & Lynch film.
Devil May Cry has sold products in many mediums, such as anime, comic books, and action figures, and Dante is one of the industry’s most recognizable characters. Who will play Dante? I’ll go with Reuben Langdon. There’s really no alternative.
