SDCC 2016: Brie Larson will lead first Marvel female film as Captain Marvel

Marvel just hosted arguably one of their biggest Comic-Con panels since they revealed Avengers. They came out swinging with a new Doctor Strange trailer, some new Thor: Ragnarok concept art, Spider-Man: Homecoming footage and much more. Marvel of course loves to deliver what fans want, and most of us have been begging to see the Academy Award winning Brie Larson as the one and only Captain Marvel.

After many rumors, we now have our Captain Marvel! Marvel brought out Brie Larson as the "here's one last thing" moment and revealed her as the strong female superhero. The whole crowd lost their minds as Larson joined all the Marvel stars in attendence for a group photo.

Captain Marvel is set to release in 2019.
